This course features three topics:
1. Psychological Wellbeing
Psychological wellbeing focuses on understanding and building on human strengths to complement the traditional approach of psychology, which has had an emphasis on healing damage. It is the scientific study of human flourishing, and an applied approach to optimal functioning.
2. Cognitive Psychology
This topic focuses on memory. Memory refers to the retention of learning and experience. Remembering is an active process and is influenced by other psychological processes.
3. Neuropsychology
This topic explores the biological structure and functions of the brain, nervous system and the role of neurotransmitters and hormones.
