Who is this course for?

This is for students who wish to begin their study of Indonesian at senior secondary level and have successfully completed Indonesian Beginners A.

Completion of enrolment depends on meeting the eligibility criteria set by the SACE Board. Enrolment with no prior studies of Stage 1 Indonesian Beginners A is to be negotiated with an 91自拍 Languages Leader. New students who have taken Stage 1 Indonesian Beginners A at institutions other than 91自拍 must submit an eligibility form.

This course progresses at an accelerated and intensive rate. Students are expected to develop their skills and intercultural competency quickly.

Completing this course provides a pathway to Stage 2 Indonesian Beginners.

What will I learn?

Students are expected to develop and apply their linguistic and intercultural knowledge, understanding, and skills to:

  1. interact with others in Indonesian in interpersonal situations
  2. create texts in Indonesian for specific audiences, purposes, and contexts
  3. analyse texts that are in Indonesian to interpret meaning.
  • The Personal World
  • The Indonesian-speaking Communities

How will I be assessed?

Students will demonstrate evidence of their learning through the following assessment types:

  • Assessment Type 1: Interaction
  • Assessment Type 2: Text Production
  • Assessment Type 3: Text Analysis

It is recommended that students have their own bilingual hardcopy dictionary.
